Step 1: Officially called The Regent’s Park, it is one of eight Royal Parks in London.
Step 2: In the Middle Ages the land was part of the Barking Abbey until the Dissolution of the Monasteries when it passed over to Henry VIII and has been crown property ever since.
Step 3: In 1811 George VI commissioned John Nash to design him a palace with a few villas for his friends. However the palace and the villas were dropped from the plans in 1818 but their terraces remained.
Step 4: Starting in the South East entrance, make your way up the boarder pathways heading for The Broad Walk.
Step 5: The Broad Walk will take you all the way up to the Ready Money Drinking Fountain.
Step 6: Make sure you dip in an out of the side paths as you go.
