Step 1: Located on Liverpool’s World Heritage Site waterfront, the Albert Dock has a history dating back to 1839.
Step 2: The docks were an integral part of making Liverpool one of the greatest maritime cities on earth, with 40% of global trade passing through by the beginning of the 19th century.
Step 3: Heavily bombed during the Blitz, it was abandoned and derelict by 1980, but today the area buzzes with restaurants, bars, hotels, museums and galleries. You could easily spend all day here!
